UW Blueprint

UW Blueprint is a dedicated team of students "building technology for social good and driving meaningful change."

Partnering with local nonprofits, we provide software solutions and tech services from web and mobile design-dev, to data analytics.

My team is currently working with A Better Tent City (ABTC), a non-profit in Kitchener Waterloo, which believes in housing as a basic right and offers safer facilities with showers, health services, and food through partners like the Foodbank. Housing up to 50 residents, and 40 visitors at a time, ABTC funds itself purely through donations and housing allowances.

Currently, ABTC manages volunteers using Google Sheets, but it's becoming disorganized and burdensome. We aim to develop a scalable web application for optimized volunteer-admin communication, and improve volunteer scheduling, tracking, organizing, and managing.
